Rooted in Southern tradition and fueled by a passion for unforgettable flavor, Rickey and Erica Gray are the heart behind CarolinaLou.
With Rickey hailing from Louisiana and Erica from North Carolina, their culinary vision is a true union of the South—blending bold Creole and Cajun flavors with the comfort and hospitality of classic Southern cuisine. What began as a shared love for food, culture, and community has grown into a mission to bring authentic, soulful dishes to the St. Louis area.
Rickey’s Louisiana roots infuse every dish with deep Bayou flavor, while Erica’s Carolina influence adds warmth, balance, and Southern charm. Together, they create food experiences that feel like home—rich, flavorful, and made with love.
At CarolinaLou, it’s more than just a meal—it’s a celebration of Southern heritage, family, and good food done right.

A rich, velvety lobster bisque that sets the tone for the Bayou. Slow-simmered to perfection, this indulgent starter delivers deep seafood flavor with a smooth, creamy finish—comforting, luxurious, and full of Southern soul.
Crispy, golden-fried or blacken catfish served atop a bed of tender smoked collard greens and creamy Southern-style grits. Finished with a rich Creole sauce, this dish balances bold flavor, texture, and tradition in every bite—classic Bayou comfort with an elevated twist.
A warm, Southern-style bread pudding baked to golden perfection, drizzled with a rich, buttery bourbon sauce and topped with a scoop of smooth French vanilla ice cream. Sweet, indulgent, and comforting—this dessert is the perfect finish with just the right touch of Southern charm.
